Itinerary description

Monastiraki to Thripti to Karvousi passing by Ha Gorge.
A long climb of 10 Kms before reaching the highest point before a steep descent of 5Kms down to Karvousi.
A Return car parked at Karvousi near the Church of Ag Georgios is required to bring walkers back to their cars parked at the start.
The walk is hard underfoot going through all types of terrain, Tarmac roads, concrete pathways, unstable shale, pathways through woods and old rock pathways.
Certainly not for the unfit.
Although the walk intercepts the E4 it does also go off that route and the pathways are not always marked, especially going up.
The walk takes you through the village of Thripti following the E4 almost all the way from there to Karvousi.
