IMPORTANT NOTE: THE DIFFICULTY WITH WHICH I CATALOG MY ROUTES IS REFERRED TO MOUNTAINS USED TO WALK, WHO UNWIND WITH FACE ON ALL THE LANDS, NOT FOR OCCASIONAL HIKERS. IF YOU HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE, ADD ONE MORE DEGREE TO THE DIFFICULTY OF MY ROUTES SO YOU WILL NOT GET SURPRISES.
Nice and comfortable tour of the Triglav River Valley (northeast of the imposing mount of the same name) from the town of Mojstrana. Unfortunately the day was quite closed in the heights so the views of the highest mountains were unviable.
We climb first to Pico Grancisce, which with its 844m, is a good lookout over Mojstrana. After going down to the valley, we continue walking along the river, to deviate later to visit the hidden Kreda Lagoon. We go back down to the main valley and continue through it for a while until we reach a Refuge and Restaurant, where we can already sense from the sarao and the large number of people that there are, that we are near a famous place. Indeed, the Pericnik Waterfalls are an attraction in the area where we are. There are several paths and they have several sections, so you just have to feel like exploring. We climb to the highest waterfall that there is taking advantage of a path that there is (partially closed to the public, but feasible). The waterfalls in any case are spectacular and well worth the climb and descent to explore them. After going back down to the valley, we can only return through it, along the Triglav River to Mojstrana.
The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the impressive Pericnik Waterfalls, which have two sections, the lower one of about 52m, which is the most interesting, and the upper one of about 15m (which is reached by the closed path, which therefore it is much less crowded). To say that the GPS in the area of the waterfalls did not go very fine and that therefore we do not have to rely much on the track in this area but rather on common sense.
