Itinerary description
After I finished the hike of the Mojave Road, I needed to return to my vehicle in Fort Mohave, AZ. This required a ride on the train from Barstow, CA to Needles, CA. From Needles, I would take a taxi to the storage facility in Arizona. But first I had to get to Barstow, a distance of 26 miles / 42 kilometers. I started walking in the morning, and reached the tiny town of Toomey, CA before someone picked me up and drove me into Barstow. I waited at the local Walmart until the afternoon, walked to the Harvey House Railroad Depot, and caught the Amtrak headed east.
