Itinerary description
No se trata realmente de un sendero sino de un paseo por la playa para disfrutar de las increibles formaciones geológicas conocidas como Moeraki Boulders, unos Septarium gigantes enterrados en la arena de la playa y en el acantilado terroso. Para poder disfrutar de estas extrañas formaciones es necesario evitar la pleamar y por eso llegamos muy temprano justo antes del amanecer cuando la marea llevaba 2 horas subiendo. Creo que tuvimos mucha suerte porque la salida del sol parece ser el mejor momento junto con la puesta para fotografiarlos y aunque estaba bastante nublado pudimos ver el sol en el horizonte. Hay un aparcamiento bastante amplio junto a una cafetería-restaurante y una tienda con regalos.
It is not really a trail but a walk along the beach to enjoy the incredible geological formations known as Moeraki Boulders, giant Septarium buried in the sand of the beach and in the earthy cliff. In order to enjoy these strange formations it is necessary to avoid high tide and that is why we arrived very early just before dawn when the tide had been rising for 2 hours. I think we were very lucky because sunrise seems to be the best time along with sunset to photograph them and even though it was quite cloudy we were able to see the sun on the horizon. There is a fairly large parking lot next to a cafe-restaurant and a gift shop.
