Itinerary description

I have followed this trail  View more

We walked this route after a few days of heavy rain. Also on the way up, very steep, it rained.
Needed sturdy shoes and walking poles. Quit dangerous, would not reccomend it on rainy days.
But the top is fantastic view all around !!!!
It took us 6 hours roundtrip with short breaks. 14 km

We walked this trail a week ago and our muscles are still aching a little. Definitely a difficult one and our experience included a wide range of beautiful landscapes, stunning views and blank terror when seeing the way down. We decided to take the serpentines up and worked our way over the beautiful meadows and valleys to the top. Sadly, a thunderstorm was approaching faster than we hoped and than our weather apps predicted (our bad). This forced us to go down the extremely steep last part quite fast. The rain still got us in the second half though and we had to sit it out for safety in a small cave. We heavily recommend to do this trail only with enough to drink & eat, dry weather and good shoes and clothes and a lack of vertigo. All in all it took us (waiting time due to thunderstorm excluded) about 4.5h in movement and ~6h total.
