Itinerary description
A visit to this summit at 1710 metres is extremely rewarding. Taken from the path on Day 2 just before starting to descend to Goedgeloof Hut it is a relatively easy climb. However this would not probably be advisable in bad weather and in any case the views would not be good.

Hey! I am interested in going up to misty point. Any chance you can give me your contact nr to get some more info?
Send me your comments via Wikilocs and let do my best to answer- if I can't answer or better to discuss them we can communicate by.phone but this shouldn't really be needed.
It's a pretty straightforward hike along as you approach it from the right way but does add a bit of time to a long day.
Hello, I think we may have met? Is there a reason why you decided not to include Hermitage peak when you climbed Misty Point, or were you solely interested in the higher of the two peaks?
Possibly we met Geocaching on the Rooikat trail in 2019 ? If I remember right you live in Montague ?
I've never heard of Hermitage peak and can't locate it so cannot answer your question. Misty Point was very much the objective and adds several hours to the day. From our group of 10 only the two of us went to Misty Point - well worth it but don't bother if visibility is dodgy.
Ok I've located Hermitage Peak - it's quite a way off our trail. That would have been quite some detour to go from Boskloof to Goedgeloof via Misty Point. We had no idea of the terrain up there so would have been risky to have tried to include that not knowing what was involved. The Mist Point detour on its own adds about 4 hours to a 6 hour day. If you're upto that go for it but watch out the weather and the terrain.
