Itinerary description
Needs further work - trail has disappeared! Will next try to find trail from Grand Etang side. In the meantime here's a photo of a very strange fungus we found on the trail....smelled like dog poo as well!
The trail starts from Minorca village - take the semi-concrete track straight up behind the village as far as the water works. If water works gate is locked you've got to try to work your way around it as the trail continues the other side up into the forest. After the waterworks the trail is initially marked with striped plastic tape (irregularly) but these then peter out. The trail has fallen into disuse - hopefully in time this can be reversed as it would make a great way to link up the south coast and rain forest interior. Watch this space!
