Itinerary description
Our hike was originally planned as a challenge organized by two hiking groups, Discover Ehden, and the North Mountain Trail. They organized a challenging route from Tripoli to Qurnat al Sawda Peak. (75 km)
We started our hike from Tripoli, following the Tripoli road through Zgharta until we reached the town of Mizyara. From there, we began our ascent towards Ehden through the forest.
When we arrived, we took a break and ate some fruits friendly locals gave us.
Then we started ascending through Ehden's Cedars natural reserve.
We finally arrived at Bteleya at midnight and set our tents there in order to recharge for the next day's challenge.
Unfortunately, our hike had to be cut short due to bad weather and safety concerns. While we couldn't reach the summit of Qurnat al Sawda as planned, we still treasured the moments spent camping in Btelaya and the surrounding area.
Although we couldn't complete our original goal, the safety and well-being of everyone involved were paramount. Our journey highlighted the importance of adaptability and cherishing the moments and connections forged along the way, making it a meaningful and unforgettable experience.
