Itinerary description
We did 3-4 km in 15 min. by boat from Methoni to Sapientza island, Ammos beach. There are no real paths, all loose stones on the paths, tiring for walking, lighthouse is unfortunately poorly maintained and in need of renovation. We did the walk there and back in July, it was too heavy, too hot.
I recommend arranging a boat that will drop you off at the lighthouse early in the morning, hike to the light house and then back along the coastal path. Then direction Ammos beach. Note, the route is not indicated, it is search. Then swim at Ammos beach and take the boat back to Methoni.
