Itinerary description

All I gotta say is wow, what a place! We thoroughly enjoyed walking through, over and around these majestic rock formations.

There's not much to say about the trails as they are quite well marked. The only annoying part was going on the road although the viewpoint from the road at around km 9.5 is completely worth it. There are even more viewpoints along this part too.

I would recommend starting earlier in the morning than we did (we started at around 10 am) to have more time to visit more monasteries. We had time to visit 3 of them. But in the end, we started to feel that it was enough and the visits began to feel similar with the views making the only difference. However, I'd say Great Meteoron and Varlaam are a must to visit for excellent views. We definitely took our time to slowly absorb the natural awesomeness.
