Itinerary description
Super easy trek to a powerful glacier. You can also see Ushba. Be careful near glacier - stones are falling from above.
If you take it to the right, you can climb higher on the glacier. Here, trekking poles and good hiking boots will come in handy - the road goes through a solid kurumnik.
A taxi from Mestia to the starting point of the trek cost us 60 GEL. This is for the car, back and forth.
You can walk from Mestia, but the path goes along the road and will take about 3 more hours. The taxi takes a little more than half an hour.
I recommend going early. We left Mestia at 8 am and met a lot of people on the way back - the track is easily accessible and popular.
