Itinerary description
Nice 4-day walk connecting two of the most beautiful settlements of upper Svaneti. One of the most popular Georgian multiday treks - also because fo the fact that you dont have to carry tent and can sleep in villages.

Hello,
I'm thinking on doing the trekking in August with some colleagues. Could anyone send me more information about it by email to gabrielrka@gmail.com?
I need information about accomodation, and a little description about the stages.
Thanks in advanced.
Does this have the last day on walking only path? Trying to avoid the 4x4 road. Thanks
This log contains only walking on the road on day 4 - there is also a walking trail, but wikiloc unfortunately doesnt give the option to update once uploaded trails. For the updated log with the better trail, pls visit the website
is it problematic to cross the river by foot? if yes what are the alternatives , i plan to be there in September
The horse is worth the 10GEL($3). If you walk past that point though, there are pretty shallow spots to cross on foot. This was the middle of October, so September may still see heavier/higher flow.
Does the horse available all the time or needed to be schduled in advance somewhere
You can buy a 'coupon' from your guesthouse, but like everything else in Georgia it's pretty informal. In our case there was only the one guy/horse, he lived at our guesthouse and got out and ahead of us on the trail, waited for all the hikers (less than 10 that day) to pass then rode home.
Great thanks
Is there celular coverage in the trek location, or at least at the vilages the geust house located? If yes What provider
We are a group of 4 planning for this trek in August. Can't wait!
How do you get back to Mestia after finishing the trail?
