Itinerary description
An easy trail, well marked (red paint) except 1-2 parts.
It starts from Mesakti beach, follows the road uphill to Gialiskari and enters the Mirsonas gorge right after the last houses. At 1-2 places, you might have to cross a short creek by stepping into the water, if you do the trail winter/spring period.
To reach to the dam, you walk about 10 min on a dirt road and then follow a trail with a nice view of the sea on your right. Mounte monastery is pretty close, about 10 min walk from the dam. Then, instead of going from the dirt road back, I crossed the hill to find the road through vegetation (about 50cm high, not difficult).
You need 30 min to get to Agios Polikarpos from the dam and from there, about an hour to get back to Armenistis.
Overall, an easy trail that crosses different types of forests (mainly pine trees), follows some dirt roads for small parts with nice view of Mesakti and surrounding areas.

Waypoints

Intersection Raches - Mirsonas gorge
To continue to Mirsonas gorge, turn left uphill and follow the dirt road until you see the red labels indicating the entrance to the trail. I left the dirt road, searching for a short alternative, but it's easier to follow it.

Intersection Mounte - Mantria
Left it goes to Mantria. You continue right on the dirt road to Mounte monastery.

Little dam
During the winter it's a bit tricky to cross it, as water falls over it. You can follow the dirt road around it. The view is very nice and the small lake beautiful.

Intersection to Armenistis
If you continue straight in 15 min you get to the main road. To the right, there is a dirt road that goes upwards.

Easy to follow

Moderate
Very nice hike proposed by T-Kon. At the beginning of the Myrsonas gorge you will see irrigation canals (like the "levadas" in Madeira). You can avoid the passage in the vegetation by easy tracks.
