Itinerary description
Roughly a century old, Sattu Bangla is still in very much good condition and in still used by Forest Department for it's officer's residence.
Wooden floor and roof makes sure that you are well protected from the weather. A drawback , however is, the lack of water nearby it.
There is a watchman and his family who maintain the Bangla.
There are several treks which lead to Sattu bangla.
I happen to traverse to a rather lesser known trek to Sattu and later shortest trek to nearby village Riyala from where I took Suzuki to Qalandarbad (a town near Abbottabad).

Interesting trek! How did you exit from Riyala or did you trek back?
Via local transportation. You can catch those very early in the morning. I stayed the night at Sattu and left at dawn to catch the “Suzuki” back to Qalanderabad.
