Itinerary description
A beautiful hike with restaurant options near every lake.
It begins by the panoramic elevator at the Melchsee for about 4km on a very nice trail to the Tannensee.
From there, you can walk around the Tannensee or continue directly along the road to Tannalp. There are several train stops along the road to to Tannalp or to return to Melchsee-Frutt.
The trail continues down to Engstlenalp. Carry on 10 minutes through the parking for the village and you will arrive to the final lake. There is a picnic area and a toilet.
There is a restaurant/guesthouse in Tannalp as well as in Engstlenalp.
