Itinerary description
A very pleasant trail on the south side of the slopes of the Estribo Grande. There are no difficult sections on this trail, although this would be a different matter in the wet season, when it might classify as difficult. The trail is easy to follow and has been well cleared throughout. In the latter section, it follows the old Uruapan-Patzcuaro road, although this is now inaccessible for all but very hardy 4X4 and Quad bikes.
We met very few people on the trail and in the wooded areas only one - a woodcutter!
The trail has lots of shade until the final trek on the west-east section along the old road.
