Itinerary description
Start of trail is missing due to GPS error.
A nice hike up through a gully just south of Allenspark into the very SW corner of Rocky Mtn NP. Hiked this on the last day of summer (Sep 20), and enjoyed nice views of changing aspen as I gained altitude. Didn't make it to Meadow Mtn as intended - although the day started sunny, if a bit windy, by the time I got up to the saddle a cold front had blown in, and I was enjoying horizontal sleet and 50 mph winds. Still got some nice views of Wild Basin during breaks in the weather.

Trail leading up to Meadow mountain pass and into Rocky Mountain National Park. Great view of a few surrounding mountains towering you while the trail itself goes above the tree line - hikers should be aware of the high elevation.
