Itinerary description

This trail follows the west shore of French Meadows Reservoir and leads from Red Star Ridge to Poppy Campground. It can be easily accessed from either end. The trail passes through shady forested land and also a section that suffered a major forest fire back in 2001. The trail connects with the Tevis Cup Trail and the Western States Trail. Hiking, horses, and bicycles are allowed on this trail.
