Itinerary description
Nice ridge walk to the broad summit of Maumtrasna. Splendid views over Lough Mask, Lough Corrib and the Maumturks. Trail shows only the way up, so double the distance if you descend the same route.

Small parking at the edge of the lake. Starting the climb here gives the less steep access point to the Maumtrasna east ridge. It is also possible to attain the ridge further west (steeper) and shorten the walk a bit.
