Itinerary description
This lump of rock is basically in the middle of nowhere on the Hail-Madina road.
There is a gap in the fence where 4WDers go through. Park there and immediately take the a steep, thigh-hurting climb to escape the road. The views north from the high point in are fantastic. Immediately heading south you descend into a few wadis that criss-cross the massif up high. You can climb the solid rock to the highest points and the views south are great. You really feel like you are on top of the world.
It's also quiet and totally litter free, meaning very few - if any - people go up there. You eventually drop down into a wide wadi which cuts through the massif. From there you can head left or right and walk round the mountain to the main road. Or cut across the wadi and climb the next clump of rock and drop down the other side of that, as I did.
