Massapoag trails

Avui el dia estava una mica lleig, feia vent i es veia caure alguna volva de neu. Per aquest motiu hem decidit fer una ruta a prop i més urbana, pels voltants de Sharon i el llac Massapoag.
La ruta en realitat comença en la rotonda que hi ha a l'extrem nord del llac, però nosaltres l'hem fet al contrari, hem començat en Brook Road i he acabat en el llac Hammer Shop.
El camí és senzill. sense gaire desnivell, però molt bonic, pasa tota l'estona pel bosc. Una vegada hem passat el riu Massapoag Brook ens hem desviat cap al Blue Dot Trail per arribar a uns enormes blocs de pedra. un d'ells té una corda per poder pujar a dalt.
De tornada el cami passa paral.lel al riu Massapoag fins a Biling Stret. Després d'uns cent metres pel voral de la carretar arribem al llac Maans on trobem un nou cartell informatiu de la ruta. Continuem pel bosc on ara abunden les coníferes fins arribar al llac Hammer Shop on ens espera el vehicle que ens tornarà a casa,
És un luxe poder fer aquesta caminada tan a prop de casa.

CASTELLÀ

Hoy el día estaba algo feo, hacía viento y se veía caer algun copo de nieve. Por este motivo hemos decidido realizar una ruta cerca y más urbana, por los alrededores de Sharon y el lago Massapoag.
La ruta en realidad comienza en la rotonda que hay en el extremo norte del lago, pero nosotros la hemos hecho al contrario, hemos empezado en Brook Road y he terminado en el lago Hammer Shop.
El camino es sencillo. sin mucho desnivel, pero muy bonito, pasa todo el rato por el bosque. Una vez pasado el río Massapoag Brook nos hemos desviado hacia el Blue Dot Trail para llegar a unos enormes bloques de piedra. uno de ellos tiene una cuerda para subir arriba.
De vuelta el camino pasa paralelo al río Massapoag hasta Biling Stret. Después de unos cien metros por el arcén de la carretar llegamos al lago Maans donde encontramos un nuevo cartel informativo de la ruta. Continuamos por el bosque donde abundan las coníferas hasta llegar al lago Hammer Shop donde nos espera el vehículo que nos volverá a casa,
Es un lujo poder hacer esta caminata tan cerca de casa.

ENGLISH

Today was a bit ugly, it was windy and you could see some snow drifts falling. for that reason we have decided to take a closer and more urban route, around Sharon and Lake Massapoag.
The route actually starts at the roundabout at the north end of the lake, but we did it the other way around, starting at Brook Road and finishing at Hammer Shop Lake.
The way is simple. without a lot of unevenness, but very beautiful, it spends the whole time in the forest. Once we passed the Massapoag Brook we turned onto the Blue Dot Trail to reach some huge boulders. one of them has a rope to climb up.
Back the road runs parallel to the Massapoag River to Biling Stret. After about a hundred meters along the side of the road we arrive at Lake Maans where we find a new information sign for the route. We continue through the forest where conifers now abound until we reach the Hammer Shop lake where the vehicle that will take us back home awaits us,
it's a luxury to be able to do this walk so close to home.
