Itinerary description
Parking at Martineaux, few hundreds of meters past le Chalet des Martinaux. Caveat: up from Morcles the road becomes real fun, the more you go, the more narrow it becomes. I was really happy nobody was going in the opposite direction. I guess it's best to go up in the morning and down when people are ready to go home.
From the parking go up taking white-red-white trail in the direction of Cabane de la Tourche and then to Rionda. In Rionda turn left into white-blue-white trail to Col des Martinets. The ascent looks more complicated than it really is, there is maybe two or three places where you'd need your hands for balance.
From the pass follow the trail in the direction of the Col des Perris Blancs passing the old military shelters under the summit of Pointes des Martinets. Continue descenting towards la Cabane de la Tourche. From there turn right in the direction of la Croix de Javerne, turn left at the trail crossing and return to the parking.
