Itinerary description
From the parking place along the N340 there are several tracks towards the coastline.
We took one that goes underneath Torre de Maro, initially a broad track but when you get to edge of the cliff the track becomes a narrow one.
This track will give you wonderful views of the coastline, especially towards Cerro Gordo.
This part of the walk is not difficult but at times there are moments that you might have to use your hands to steady yourself while going down but it is never dangerous.
We followed this track to the ruins of a house and went a little further to find a way down to a visible tiny beach but after the bend past the ruins the track became too difficult for us.
We descended a little further to a small hut, cabane, which is perfectly situated, completely out of view with an immense view itself and then retraced our steps along the coastal path.
Backagain on the broad track,s a short but steep climb will take you to the Torre de Maro which has a wonderful view towards the Cerro Gordo and towards Nerja in the opposite direction.
The last part of the walk is pleasant and will give you great views of the mountains
