Itinerary description
when in need of leaving the buzz of berlin, the trainstation müncheberg is highly recommended as a starting point for lots of trails through this little gem of a landscape the ice ages left behind. this one is just a little deviant in parts of the main trails. take it as an inspiration and do look for your own route...you can't get lost, there are trails crossing everywhere. and yet it is a quiet, lovely, slightly hobbit-ish feeling area. lots of shade and many lakes with opportunity to swim, so great even when it's hot. ends at the beach of the loveliest and biggest of the lakes (entrance fee) looking to the west, afternoon sun and a great way to end the walk. from there goes a bus that will take you back to the trainstation/parking where the day began.
