Marija Bistrica

The trail begins at the foot of the forest on the north side of Calvary, opposite the entrance to the local cemetery, and ends there. You can go to the trail at any point, but you always go around in a clockwise direction because it is marked that way.
The trail consists of four specially marked tracks that can be bypassed each separately. At the beginning and end, the trails are marked with signboards and marked along the entire length with the indicated colors - red, yellow and blue. At the end of each trail, the tour can be interrupted and the bypass returned to the center of Marija Bistrica in 10 minutes.

RED PATH - "PATH OF SUFFERING AND JOY"

It begins and partly passes through Calvary, the place of suffering, passes through the forest where we feel freedom and joy, passes by the vineyards and the cellars where many experience joy and happiness.

BLUE PATH - "FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT"

The name is inspired by a fusion of past and present. It starts from the Hellenbach castle, passes by the estate where there used to be a beautiful orchard, and today it is part of a hunting reserve. It passes by the Sculpture Park, whose life-size statues evoke biblical themes and the life of a Zagorje peasant then and today, and in the end everything ends in the Shrine of Our Lady of Bistrica.

YELLOW PATH - "TRAIL PATH - Mr. FULIR"

The name is inspired by the famous Croatian film "One song a day takes mischief away (1970y)". Hikers love to sing and don’t think evil like Mr. Fulir from the movie. The events in the film touch on part of the hiking and various humorous experiences related to it. Along the promenade and on the rest area, there are inscriptions with funny stories.

BROWN PATH

It was designed for a longer version of the organized tour on July 3, 2011. It turns on the red promenade in Sekovice, exits on the main road towards Marija Bistrica, after the bridge it turns left on Luči Breg where it comes to the yellow promenade at KT 3. It is marked with blue stripes.
