Itinerary description
Mankial is a village on national highway just 15 minutes before Kalam.
There used to be couple of trout fish farms and restaurants in Mankyal, all of which are out of business and one particular has been completely destroyed due to flood.
Mankyal bazar has completely changed as the only hotel that offered over night stay was destroyed too along with many shops, fuel station and parking ground.
You can take a 4*4 drive to Badai village. The ride is short but very very tiring and bumpy. From Badai, you start your hike to very scenic Serai village.
Serai is a spectacular place which was completely covered in Snow.
Most of the men from the village were in Punjab to make a living. Village was inhabited by women, kids and some elderly men.
From Serai, there are couple of routes that go to Chukail Meadows situated at an altitude of 3,200 meters.
