Itinerary description
Jaba meadow is a high altitude meadow at a short hike from Badai village in Mankyal valley of Swat.
Mankyal is a small village with a lot of trout fish farms an hour before Kalam and an hour after Bahrain. There is a car parking at Mankyal, from where you can hire a jeep to take you up to Badai village.
Jeeps can go beyond the village but it's better to start the trek from the village.
Badai is a scenic and fairy tale village at base of Mankyal mountain which offers majestic views. There are couple of shops, a Mosque and even a shrine in Badai.
From there, you can get to Jaba meadows in 2 hours hike.
There are shepherd's huts in Jaba but in bad and broken condition.
We stayed at the summer village which was 15 minutes before the meadow. There was no one in the village. We stayed at a cozy and comfortable house.
