Old cog railway converted into a trail. 2000 ft elevation gain in a little less than a mile, resulting in an average 43% grade.

The author mentioned that the Manitou Incline is technically "Very Difficult". Technically, It is not at all difficult, but the climb itself is very tough to achieve. It's all steps but can get snow packed and icy in winter and very hot in summer. Check weather conditions and wear spikes if necessary. Coming back down without them can be treacherous.
