Ascent to Pico Mangart (2679mts) by the Via Italiana, despite being the "easy" route we will go through a somewhat exposed trap with aydsnde cables. It also goes through a stretch of snowfield.
It is a bearable route if you are used to going through these types of places, we will climb a little over 800mts+ in about 3.5km.
Good footwear is recommended, many people wear helmets due to the fact that stones fall from those in front, so it is also recommended.
It is best to start very early to go up and down without people, in the sections of cables it can be complicated when you come across a large group of people, avoid weekends if possible. The road to get there by car costs €10, the ascent and descent are beautiful, yes, it is narrow and you have to be careful because of the other vehicles, motorcycles and bikes that make the ascent and descent.
