MANASLU TREK (Vuelta al Manaslu) ETAPA 7 (SAMAGAON -CAMPO BASE -SAMAGAON)

SENDA

Saliendo de Samagaon hacia el lago Birendra. Pasamos por una zona con bastante vegetación. Distinguimos perfectamente la cima y el pináculo este del Manaslu. De dónde estamos parece mas alto el pináculo que la cima. Es curioso que sólo se haya subido una vez el pináculo. Alex Txikón y Simone Moro lo van a intentar subir en invierno en 2.021. a la bajada de la cima.

Leaving Samagaon towards Lake Birendra. We pass through an area with a lot of vegetation. We can perfectly distinguish the summit and the eastern pinnacle of Manaslu. Where we are from, the pinnacle seems higher than the top. It is curious that the pinnacle has only been climbed once. CAMPO BASE

Estamos contentos. Hemos subido al campo base con esfuerzo pero sin problemas. No hace frío y permanecemos un buen rato admirando el paisaje. Quedan dos expediciones en la zona intentanto hacer cima en el Manaslu.

We are happy. We have climbed the base camp with effort but without problems. It is not cold and we spend a good time admiring the landscape. Two expeditions remain in the area trying to make a summit in Manaslu.

A la vuelta del lago giramos a la izquierda para llegar a la senda que nos llevará al campo base.

Después de volver casi hasta el pueblo tomamos el camino que poco a poco nos llevará al campo base. En el camino vemos pastar tranquilos a un par de ciervos.

LAGO BIRENDRA

Lago de origen glaciar a los pies de Manaslu. Visto desde arriba adquiere un bonito color turquesa. No teníamos pensado ir al lago porqué ya teníamos bastante con subir al campo base. Pero como sucede a veces, el error nos ha traído a este hermoso lugar y lo hemos disfrutado. Y no ha sido impedimento para subir al campo base. Ha dado tiempo para todo.

Lake of glacial origin at the foot of Manaslu. Seen from above, it acquires a beautiful turquoise color. We did not plan to go to the lake because we already had enough to go up to the base camp. SAMAGAON Salida etapa 8

Abandonamos con pena Samagaon. Hemos disfrutado mucho los dos días que hemos pasado aquí. Al volver a casa y leyendo cosas sobre Nepal y el valle de Nubri he descubierto el blog de Valentín Giró y la labor que están haciendo en esta zona apoyando la educación de niñas y niños y de la que fue pionero Carlos Soria. We left with sadness Samagaon. We have really enjoyed the two days we have spent here. When I went back home and read things about Nepal and the Nubri Valley I discovered the blog of Valentín Giró and the work they are doing in this area supporting the education of girls and boys and of which Carlos Soria was a pioneer. SAMAGAON Día de descanso

Aprovechamos el día que estamos en Samagaon para subir al campo base del Manaslu. Hace muy buen día. Un buen desayuno y en marcha. Achut el guía se queda retrasado haciendo alguna gestión y nos vamos con los porteadores Santosh Ra y Reman Ra que nunca han subido a éste campo base. La idea es ir al campo base pero tomamos mal un desvío y llegamos a la orilla del lago Birendra. Es una zona con unas grandes vistas de los glaciares y cima del Manaslu. Queremos pasar el lago por la zona de desagüe pero no es posible. Achut que ha vuelto trata de buscar un sitio de paso pero al no ser posible tenemos que volver casi hasta el pueblo y tomar la senda que lleva al campo base. Este recorrido de mas al lago luego pasará factura a algunos del grupo que desistirán de llegar al campo base. Hacemos la subida al mismo de forma pausada. Al ir ganando altura las vistas se van ampliando. Ahora vemos abajo el lago Birendra de un color turquesa. Según vamos acercándonos al c.b. tenemos que ir haciendo alguna parada que aprovechamos para sacar fotos. Santosh y Reman se ofrecen para llevarnos la mochila pero les comentamos que hoy es su día de descanso y que hoy nos toca trabajar a nosotros. Se ríen. Llegamos al campo y disfrutamos un buen rato de sus vistas. En la zona quedan dos expediciones intentando la cima. Llama la atención la ausencia de basura en la zona. Bajamos sin problemas y llegamos para picar algo. A la tarde una parte del grupo sale a caminar para ir aclimatándose mejor y yo recorro el pueblo "charlando" y viendo las labores de los vecinos y jugando con los niños. We arrived at the field and enjoyed its views for a while. In the area there are two expeditions trying the top. The absence of garbage in the area is striking. We went down without problems and arrived to snack on something. In the afternoon a part of the group leaves to walk to acclimatise better and I go through the town "chatting" and seeing the work of the neighbors and playing with the children.
