Shyala - Samagaon
The remaining stages to Larke Pass are short. Only 1 hour separates us from
Samagaun, the next stop. But these will help us to finish acclimatizing
quietly at the height.
As the stage was short, on the way to Samagaun we turned off towards the Punggen Glacier, from where you can see a truly magnificent panorama of the Manaslu. I think it’s one of the most beautiful panoramas I’ve ever seen. We were even lucky and saw a couple of live avalanches.
On the way down, returning to the road that leads to Samagaun, we came across a herd of
Gorals de L'Himàlaia, a species of mountain roe deer similar to the Isards dels
Pyrenees .
