Itinerary description
Beautiful loop in the valley with Sannine to the east, Bakich to the north, Baskinta to the west and Zaarour to the south. At this moment of the year, you will encouter many rivers and fountains on your way. The beautiful flowers are announcing the coming spring. Park your car close to Zaarour-Sannine highway (near an old church). You will have to go down first (no clear trail but easy descent) to reach the lower trail. Continue north till you reach Baskinta-Sannine road where you will be walking on the road for few minutes before reaching "Mikhail Naimy Mausoleum". This first part of the walk is not particularly nice, you will be walking on asphalt road. After visiting this beautiful place, go west and leave the road to the left to reach the valley. The walk here is spectacular with amazing sceneries all around. By following "the literary trail", part of the LMT, you will be able to reach 'Saydet El Khelli Church", a beautiful small church in the valley. A lunch stop here is a good idea. From there, go to the south and start a moderate ascent that can be physically demanding to beginners (but without any technical difficulty). The final part is off-trail (easy) till you reach the starting point.

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the review. Keep hiking. Rami
Very nice and easy hike, executed with kids… however access to the start and finish is very difficult… u can access to the same trail from another location, which is much more easier…

Almost Easy for kids… despite the good mileage… access / exit are very difficult, could be accessed in another location w/o any difficulties. Thanks
Hello "Doc F". I agree that reaching the main trail from the parking spot is a bit tricky (off-trail) but not very difficult! Maybe you meant very difficult for younger kids (?). For most hikes in the area, i park near this old church (starting point) because it's easily accessible from the main road, and there's a wide place for many cars if needed. For those who want to avoid this part, especially with kids (i find it relatively easy for regular adult hikers), the trail can be accessed from many other points that can be reached by car. You just have to find a convenient place to park. Thank you for the review "Doc F" and keep hiking :)
Hi Rami, yes… it was a bit difficult for kids (10 years to 12 years old). Otherwise, the trail is very easy afterwards and recommended for hikers with kids, cheers
