Itinerary description
Walk to discover the western part of Palau, the island is called Ngerekebesang and is connected to Koror by a bridge built with the contribution of the Japanese government in 2005.
The day was very hot and sunny, so I was a little burned out!
I managed to get permission from the resort at the top of the hill to explore the upper part of their area and I came across war remnants from the Second World War, in a good state of preservation.
I then went back down to continue to the western edge of the island.
I couldn't get any further than the entrance to yet another resort which, obviously, occupies the best part of the island.
I then had to return along the same route as the outward journey.
All in all a decent walk. The houses are always very modest with sheet metal sheds and scrap everywhere, but nature always offers surprising shows!
