Itinerary description

EN: Departure and arrival from the northern part of the town.

This hike with extraordinary landscapes connects two resorts on the Dalmatian Coast passing through natural areas of great beauty. First we go around the St. Peter's Peninsula and pass by the most important viewpoints, the lighthouse, the church and the statue. After passing through the port of Makarska we climb to the main hiking area, Osejava Forest Park. The path through the pine forest offers beautiful views of the Adriatic and the surrounding islands. You can continue to Nugal Beach which is isolated by high limestone walls, but you have to turn on the same path to continue towards Tučepi. After reaching the culmination of this forest reserve we continue on a winding path next to small beaches to Tučepi. We can stop at the medieval church of Saint Jure and return to Makarska through the same forest but on a straighter forest road. After stopping at the Franciscan Church and the small museum of malacology, we visit the historic center of the town. We go around the Saint Peter's Peninsula again, a real botanical garden and we return to the place where we left.

The routes are uploaded for the sole purpose of information and guidance for those who wish to use them. Therefore, it is the exclusive responsibility of each user, to apply, adapt and particularize the data provided, to the personal, climatic and environmental conditions of each moment and of each person. It is always advisable to walk accompanied by at least one other person, as well as to be provided with a GPS and a mobile phone to be able to facilitate your position at all times. If you need it, call Emergencies (112).
