Itinerary description
The trailpoint is at beautiful village of Sotire which is paved and is 13.8km from the motorway that connect Gjirokaster with Kakavija.
For 3 km the trail is marked with red signs and the path pass through Pine trees till 5km/1436m. We hiked Murgana in winter and at 1300m altitude the path was covered roughly with 1meter snow and was difficult to walk. We reached the first mountain crest after 5.4km/1500m and continued up on the direction of South-West. Distance till summit is 7km and we hiked in 4h. The view at the summit is wonderful especially in winter with all the summits around cover with snow. After the main summit we continued to the next summit(700m) which is on east side.
