Itinerary description
Radohimës seems to be a very popular hike these days! :)
We drove from Podgorica (MNE) and for some reason (that I won't disclose :) started walking from Bregu i Sukës, which is some 300m below start of the regular route from the Qafa e Thorës. While ascending we experimented quite a bit, going through a forest and later some rocks on a pretty steep terrain. While descending we took a private gravel road so it was easier. Anyway, don't do that!:) Just drive 300m up to the Qafa e Thorës and start normally. You will be losing some elevation, but all in all will be far better off than us.
Besides, when you finish the hike the views at the Qafa will be exceptional, with the Rabes in front of you and to the right and the Kakis to the left.
I think the data on wikiloc are not correct, we had an elevation gain of some 1,250m and the overall length was close to 13km. The trail is not a proper/full loop, rather a partial one.
While climbing Radohimës you also need to factor in the terrain, it's tricky, dominated with rocks and screes.
The trail is not marked but is mostly clearly visible.
Contrary to some descriptions on wikiloc, there is no alpinism on this trail. There are some parts where you will scramble with hands. The ridge is a bit more exposed (especially the southern part), but it's nothing unseen. That said, you indeed should be careful and have the necessary experience to do this hike. I rated it as difficult to be a bit on the safe side, but it's closer to moderate than to difficult.
The routes to and from the top are mostly obvious, with one difference/detail while you approach the northern ridge. Namely, after you pass a scree and a small couloir, you will have two options - one going to the left across another scree and above some rocks directly on the northern ridge, and the other going straight, to a saddle which ends up a bit lower (it's where the ridge starts). We opted for the second direction, as it is less steep and overall more comfortable. If you search for Radohimës on wikiloc you will notice it, with some taking the first and some the other option. Going down and taking southern ridge is quite obvious.
Once on the top, the views are total craziness.
Enjoy!
