Maja e Pleshovices 1730m is located in Bolene,Vlore. Inhabitant in Bolene call it Maja e Kunjoves.
Bolena is a village located 53km from Vlora and with new paved road one can reach it within one hour.
The distance up to the summit is roughly 10km and has an elevation gain of 1600m according to our device. We ascended it for 4h.
The trail can start from the center of the village and for 3km is an unpaved road. There is a spring at 3.5km from the trailhead. The trail proceed with a slight elevation gain for 5.3km then you turn left and at this point you start to go up on the left side along the valley. The trail is easy to find up to 8.4km. At this point you turn left. You should continue for 500m more and then again turn left because somehow one certain point the trail goes up. At this point we have walked on different route on ascending and descending. As soon as you reach at Qafa e Kunjoves you are on the latitude 1500m and already done 9.4km. You have 400m more to walk and 200m rise. So as you see there is 50% slope on this part. At this point check photo ‘’Ascend here’’, I have drawn with red line the place where we have ascended and of course you can try smth else. We have put pile up stones along the trail but especially on this part. After 200m you will walk somehow on the ridge and then you are on the top. Once on the top there is a magnificent view on west side along Shushica valley and Kendrevica on the east side. On the north side you see Maja Cipini I Bolenes.
