Itinerary description
Mount Bogonica is a beautiful hike. From the top of the mountain, you can see from one part the Ionian see and from the other the valley of Shushica. The trail starts from Vranisht, a small village. The road to reach the start point is paved, except the last 1.8 km, but not in bad condition. After the start you have to pass the village up until you will catch the stream of the dry river. You should across up this section and follow up also a sheep trail until you will see a very large lawn at 1200 m. At this point you have to turn left for at least 1,5 km until you will catch the ridge of the mountain. The start of the ridge is not difficult but after you catch a rocky terrain it will be more difficult and you have to be attention because the terrain is not stable, it slips and you will face also crumbly rocks. We descent from a other section and we found a religious place where the local go very often.
