Itinerary description
Very well marked path with great views and stunning crossing of the Lykorema and Arkoudorema gorges. We started in the Piana village and hiked up to Pan's cave. Then we descended to the valley and followed the dry beds of Lykorema and Arkoudorema, several times we needed to use ropes or our hands to downclimb small rocks. We saw a fresh water spring close to the church of Panagia Arkoudorematos when we got on the road in the middle of the hike. On the way back, we passed by the Chrysovitsi village and returned using a dirt road with amazing views. I was loosing GPS signal all the time so better to rely on the signs than the recording, also the length and the elevation gain was in reality a bit more. We made many stops on the way,normally you should be able to complete the hike in shorter time.

Ακολουθήσαμε (ή προσπαθήσαμε να ακολουθήσουμε) τη διαδρομή Απρίλιο 2024. Το κομμάτι Πιάνα - Αρκουδόρεμα (μέχρι να βγει κάποιος στην πρώτη άσφαλτο) είναι σαφέστατο από σήμανση αλλά έχει αρκετά τεχνικά περάσματα (υπάρχουν σε δύο σημεία με μόνιμα σχοινιά που χρειάζεται προσοχή). Το τοπίο ειδικά περίπου μεταξύ 4ου και 6ου χλμ είναι πανέμορφο.
Μετά το εγκαταλελειμένο χωριό Αρκουδόρεμα, κάναμε λάθος και ακολουθήσαμε τα πορτοκαλί σημάδια (έπρεπε να ακολουθήσουμε τα μπλε) οπότε βγήκαμε στο δρόμο και τον ακολουθήσαμε ως το χωριό Χρυσοβίτσι.
Σε αρκετά σημεία το μονοπάτι χρειάζεται συντήρηση λόγω βλάστησης. Δεν προτείνεται για αρχάριους λόγω των τεχνικών περασμάτων. Οπωσδήποτε αδιάβροχο μποτάκι.
