Itinerary description
The first 2.5km of the trail are at a steep uphill, starting off in shaded areas and then reaching the top where most of the path is under direct sun. Views are breathtaking from the top, avoid peak hours on hot summer days.
The start is challenging, the scenery is rewarding.
The second part of the hike is much easier, its mostly descending and shaded. As you make your way around the mountain and into the valley. Follow Doxa Si O Theos.
The third part of the trail is mostly flat, cross the street from Doxa Soi o Theos and follow the “E4” sign once your cross the street at the end of part 2.
Make your way out of the trees and onto the main road at “Moutti tis Choras” locality and follow a small path “Doxa si o Theos” again which is parallel to the main road. This last stretch is mostly 3km uphill walking under the trees in a path parallel the main road -road at a lower level on the left side-.
Trail for the physicaly fit only. Clear trail, no room for confusion, however the first & last 3km are brutal.
We did it at an intense pace with not much resting time.

Nice views and scenery, but the one must be in good shape to complete it. I added extra 4km as a side loop and the total 17km seem to be my limit. I barely finished the trail. Last couple kilometers uphill almost killed me.
The side loop was worth it though. It is Tishia Tis Madaris and it starts near the fire station (you will recognize it be the paved road there). There are great massive rock formations and scenery.
Also read the route description before staring it. I have taken wrong route at forks couple times, both situations were explained in the description.
