Itinerary description
Quickly becoming my favorite hiking area of Cyprus, Madari is a treat! The suggested trail combines the two fundamental trails available around the mountaintop, with a few small ventures left and right. By far the best views offered by any trail in Cyprus. It's more than that though: the wealth of vegetation (mostly endemic) is staggering. On top of all that, you will also experience the spectacular geological formations 'Teisia tis Madaris' ('Walls of Madari'). Throw in the fire lookout station, and the quite unique stone-made pick-nick area of the Forest Department ... and you get the picture! It's a must! Accessible throughout the year (except of some high parts during the winter only if it snows heavily).
Tips:
1. I don't provide a detailed description of the trail as this is already available multiple times for the individual trails in Wikiloc. You can also check my review of the main circular path on Google Maps (alias 'Rock Cyprus').
2. Do start at 'Moutti tis Choras'. You can start at multiple places, but this provides the best balance overall. If you start at 'Doxa Soi o Theos', chances are you are going to suffer at the last few uphil kms which are deceptively demanding.
3. Take on lots of water during the summer. Only option to refill is to ask the kind guys at the fire lookout station. In the winter there will probably be some streams flowing.

Great trail and well-defined. Many thanks for the advice. We started at 'Moutti tis Choras' as recommended. It was indeed the best thing to do, as we got rid of a demanding part at the start of the hike. I am not sure we would have managed to climb that part if it was at the end of the hike.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it and I was able to help! Happy trails! :)
I did this hike today, 2/11/22, and it was absolutely incredible. The weather was perfect, the views stunning, the setting spectacular, a true gem.
