I have classified this walk as difficult due to hot arid terrain in the second half, difficulty in navigation, and overall pack weight required for 5 days.

Navigation - this is a neglected Great Walk. The trail markers are incomplete and the official maps available from https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/ are NOT up to date. Especially in the latter sections of the trail, there are road intersections without trail markers that are not shown on the official maps and vice versa (i.e. some of the roads shown on the maps have disappeared in real life).
