Itinerary description
In this 5 days trekking to Machu Picchu (Salkantay trekking) we started in Challacancha and finished in Hidroeléctrica.
The fourth day, we started in Aguas Calientes,in our hotel. We took the street on the left and went back to the entrance of Machu Picchu (crossing the bridge and taking the road on the left side). Then we climbed up to the top (pics.1&2) and got down by the city. In the entrance we turned left back to Hidroeléctrica.
The way is steep in Machu Picchu and flat going back to Hidroeléctrica. It's unpaved all the way.
