Itinerary description
A very diversified walk from Maboge with beautiful views. You need comfortable and waterproof shoes. You follow yellow losange markings with number 2.
You start walking up the valley of Ri de Vâ, first on a dirt road and then a path. It is at times muddy and you have to cross puddles on your way. Then at certain altitude (+- 370 metres above sea level) you leave forest, you walk on a narrow asphalt road (there was no traffic) to reach Panorama Pied Monty (Hubermont). At the panorama you turn left and continue on a dirt road back to a forested area with summer houses. At certain moment you turn left, you continue through forest (the trail is turning several times, you follow a dirt road or a narrow path). In several places the forest has been cleared and you have nice views.
At km 5.9 you descend steeply down to l'Ourthe, you turn left and continue on a path along the river back to the village of Maboge. At certain moment there was no marking and we most probably lost the trail moving away from the river and going up on a narrow path through bushes. We climbed a rock on a river bend and have been rewarded with an impressive view on the river. Then we continued downhill and through the village beach on the river banks.
