Itinerary description
This alternative section of the Lycian Way was demanding but absolutely worth the struggle. The first 2/3 of the hike feels like you're in your own Mediterranean kingdom. It was just us, the Mediterranean Sea, beautiful empty beaches and only a handful of other hikers. Be aware of the fact that this trail is not easy, that there's no restaurans or cafes (bring your own lunch!) and you can get off trail quite easily if you're not paying attention. The last part is a steep 500m climb back to civilization (albeit still very rural and tranquil) and after that another 100-200m ascend to Yediburunlar, a nice, quiet village with very kind locals.
I absolutely recommend this track if you're an avid hiker and don't mind to work hard for the stunning views, empty bays and pristine nature that you will pass by. If you're not, I'd recommend the main trail, as this is not an easy one!
