Itinerary description
Lovely Seat from Cliff Gate Road — Yorkshire Dales National Park
Lovely Seat is a UK designated Nuttall at 675 metres and not that far from Cliff Gate Road, where there is a small but very adequate parking space. From the road, it is a pretty boggy (not unduly so) 1.5 kilometres to the summit, following the fence. Once on the top, hop over the fence to the stone cairn/tower. I wish I could say something about the views, but I didn't see anything today.
Parking: A small but adequate gravel car park at the start point.
Route Description: Boggy, but not unduly so. Follow the fence line on an indistinct path to the summit. Stone cairn/tower at the summit.
Route Statistics: 3 kilometres with 170 metres of height gain done in 45 minutes.
