Loutro
I usually leave Ag. Romeli on the ferry, but this time was special. There was a storm and the ferries weren’t running. People in the village told me that the next day would be normal and that the ferry would run according to the usual schedule, but my intuition worked and I decided to go to Chora Sfakion the next day on foot. I started at 6:00 in the desire to catch the 11 o'clock bus from Sfakia to Chania. I walked at a fast pace and at 8:50 I was already in Loutro, where I met people waiting for the ferry to Sfakia.
No one knew for sure whether the ferry was there and the Anendyk ticket office was closed, but a ferry appeared on the horizon and everyone perked up, it was the only departure at 9:30 from Loutro to Sfakia, I bought a ticket and boarded the ferry
