Itinerary description
Its not often we log a DNF (did not find) but in the case of the Canyon we did not find it. Having reviewed 3 different maps of the area (going back 35 years on one) the information is really not consistant or clear as to where the Canyon is - the staff in the area that we spoke to could not help either. We wish you well in your search. On the up side the Cool Pools are some of the best in the berg and a welcome sight after a long day on the trails in the sun.

Hi R&H, I took the challenge and found the Canyon, see my profile for the route. The new path goes much higher than the original on the KZN Wildlife maps, and takes you above the Canyon itself. There appears to be no more path to the Canyon itself.
