Itinerary description
This is quite a walk - primarily through a protected nature area - in particular when the weather adds to the challenge, which was the case when I did the walk early October 2023. After leaving Kaleüçağız, the initial part is across flat terrain marked by fields and forest. At one point you will pass the Smugglers Inn, which serves food and drinks when open. From the Inn you will hug the coastline, until just before km 7 when the walk goes into the hills.
At this point, the trail is signalled with blue dots and the path becomes significantly more challenging to navigate, in part because it is not always easy to distinguish, but mainly because it is riddled with sharp outcroppings - walking shoes with solid soles are therefore highly recommended. The surroundings are pleasing, and ultimately you will wind back to the main road to Kaleüçağız, and thus back to the car.
