Itinerary description

Moderate 2/5 walk starting at the memorial in Pirgos, suitable for car parking.
Route is extremely well signposted with yellow and red markers all closely laid together on rocks, branches, posts and signs all along the trail.
Walk consists of areas of areas of concrete walkways, rocky climb, wooded areas of fir leaves underfoot to coarse loose stone.
Great views of the area and a small taverna in Prina to wet your whistle.
The return road an easy winding unmade road all the way back before intersecting the tarmac road back to the cars,

Start of walk

Turn left by start of hike sign and follow tarmacked road, keeping to the right fork where the road gently slopes up 160 metres further on

Continue on this road

400 metres further on take the left fork on the road

Keep left

Road turns from tarmac to stone as you enter a more shaded woodland area

Continue on this road

170 metres further on, keep your eyes out on your right for a break in the bushes to leave this road and start undergrowth short pathway. Good signage to follow

Turn right

Follow the narrow path down a short path onto the dry riverbed and follow the pathway

Approx 600 metres before the path starts to rise more steeply in a series of zig- zags

By signage keep left

Pathway leads on to the village

Turn left to the village of Prina This is the road by going right takes you back via an easy gradual descent to the start. It is also the road you continue on when you return back from the village

Keep right on concrete road way into the village 500 metres further on. A small square and a small Taverna to have a rest a meze and a cool drink before heading back the way you came and back to the start.
